CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Cancellation & Refund Policy
This Cancellation & Refund Policy governs all bookings
made through Triptrails . By making a booking on or through Triptrails, User
acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.
1. Triptrails’ Role (Important Disclaimer)
Triptrails acts only as a booking facilitator and
intermediary between users and third-party travel service providers,
including airlines, hotels, tour operators, transport providers, and other
suppliers.
Triptrails:
- Does
not operate or control any travel service
- Does
not decide cancellation or refund eligibility
- Does
not guarantee any refund
All cancellations and refunds are subject to the terms,
conditions, and policies of the respective service provider, which shall be
final and binding.
2. Cancellation Policy – General
- Cancellation
rules vary by airline, hotel, tour operator, or service provider.
- Some
bookings may be non-cancellable and non-refundable.
- Cancellation
charges may include:
- Supplier
cancellation fees
- Fare
difference
- Taxes
(as per supplier rules)
- Triptrails
service or convenience fees
Triptrails’ service fees are non-refundable under all
circumstances, including but not limited to cancellation, no-show, or
unused bookings.
3. Flight Bookings
- Flight
cancellations are governed strictly by the airline’s fare rules.
- Airlines
may charge full or partial cancellation penalties.
- Refundable
fares may still attract airline and Triptrails fees.
- No-show
cases may result in zero refund, as per airline policy.
- Schedule
changes, delays, or cancellations by airlines do not automatically
entitle users to a refund from Triptrails.
Triptrails shall not be responsible for airline operational
decisions.
4. Hotel Bookings
- Hotel
cancellation policies vary by property and rate plan.
- Some
hotel bookings are strictly non-refundable.
- Late
cancellations or no-shows may result in full retention of booking amount.
- Refunds,
if any, depend entirely on hotel confirmation.
Triptrails is not responsible for hotel overbooking,
denial of stay, or quality of service.
5. Tour Packages & Activities
- Cancellation
and refund rules are defined by the respective tour operator.
- Certain
services (permits, tickets, activities) may be 100% non-refundable
once booked.
- Partial
usage of a package does not entitle the user to a partial refund.
6. Amendments & Date Changes
- Changes
to bookings (dates, names, sectors, etc.) are subject to:
- Supplier
approval
- Availability
- Applicable
change fees and fare differences
Triptrails does not guarantee that amendments will be
possible.
7. Refund Processing Timelines
- Approved
refunds are processed only after Triptrails receives the refund from
the service provider.
- Typical
processing timelines:
- Airlines
/ Hotels: 7–45 working days (may vary)
- Triptrails
is not liable for delays caused by:
- Airlines
- Hotels
- Banks
- Payment
gateways
Refunds will be made to the original mode of payment only.
8. Force Majeure / Extraordinary Circumstances
No refunds or compensation shall be payable by Triptrails
for cancellations caused by:
- Natural
disasters
- Pandemics
or epidemics
- Government
orders or travel restrictions
- War,
strikes, civil unrest
- Any
event beyond Triptrails’ control
Refunds, if any, will be strictly as per supplier policies.
9. Convenience Fees & Service Charges
- Triptrails’
convenience fees, service charges, and administrative fees are non-refundable
in all cases.
- This
applies even if:
- The
booking is cancelled
- The
service is partially or fully unused
- The
supplier issues a full refund
10. Failed, Duplicate, or Pending Payments
- Bookings
with failed or pending payments are not guaranteed.
- Any
refunds for duplicate or excess payments will be processed after
verification and may take additional time.
- Triptrails
is not responsible for bank or gateway processing delays.
11. Disputes & Chargebacks
- Users
agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes without first
contacting Triptrails.
- Any
chargeback raised may result in:
- Booking
cancellation
- Suspension
of user account
- Recovery
of costs and penalties from the user
12. No Additional Compensation
Triptrails shall not be liable for:
- Loss
of enjoyment
- Mental
agony
- Missed
connections
- Additional
expenses such as accommodation, food, or transport
13. Final Decision
- All
decisions regarding refunds taken by airlines, hotels, or service
providers shall be final and binding.
- Triptrails’
role is limited to facilitating communication and processing
refunds received from suppliers.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This policy shall be governed by the laws of India.
All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts at Noida
UP India.
